What qualities do you think a presidential candidate should look for in a vice-president

I think a president should look for qualities such as; responsibility, loyalty, honesty, open-mindedness, and efficiency.

Ideally the person should first be a successful mayor of a typical large US city with 1 million or more people.  Then they should be a successful governor of a state for at least 8 years.  Then they should serve in Congress for 4 - 8 years, and have had lunch with two-thirds of the members of Congress at least once.
