The Perceived stage of conflict is when parties lack a clear idea of their mutual problem, but still feel a general sense of unease with each other.

When two or more person has difference in their opinions and ideas about a common concept then there arises a conflict. It occurs when there arises a difference in "what is thought" and "what is achieved". The clash that occurs between any opposing group contributes to a conflict. The different stages of conflicts are Latent, Perceived, Felt, Manifest and Conflict Aftermath.

When there occurs a conflict without any reason or clear idea about an issue then these conflicts comes under the  Perceived stage of conflict. This may occur either by not properly understanding the opposing parties situation. When communication between the opposing group is improved then this type of conflict can be resolved properly.
