Helping out my church and helping out the people who are in need
I think that it should be mandatory for any sexually active person to receive the shot for HPV but especially women. Men are carriers of the virus but it greatly affects women and can lead to ovarian, uterine, and/or cervical cancer as well as other cancers. Roughly 80% of the population will have HPV at one time or another. It is usually suggested that those who get HPV while younger wait and it will pass on its own. By demanding the vaccine and making it mandatory, we will lower these risks.
I am not sure why parents do not get their kids vaccinated because they really should. My guess would be that they are uneducated or believe that anything with risks should be avoided for their children and do not understand that the disease the vaccine is treating is actually worse than the unlikelihood of the vaccine side effects occurring.
I would visit websites such as the center for disease control and american heart association. Any reputable websites with scientific information will show that vaccines are necessary especially for children.
