When are lung transplants performed? What are the risks of lung transplants?

Biology

In most cases, a lung transplant is done only after all other treatments for lung failure are unsuccessful. Lung transplants may be recommended for people under age 65 who have severe lung diseases. The major risk of a lung transplant is organ rejection. This happens when your immune system attacks your donor lung as if it were a disease. Severe rejection could lead to failure of the donated lung. Other serious complications can arise from the drugs used to prevent rejection.

The possibility of magnifying contaminating sequences present in a nucleic acid pool is a drawback associated with PCRs high lev
lukranit [14]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

The Polymerase Chain reaction (PCR) is a technique widely used in molecular biology to identify specific DNA fragments generally in a size range of 100 to 1000 base pairs (bp). PCR sensitivity refers to the potential of the PCR technique to specifically amplify the desired sequence in the sample. PCR is a highly sensitive (and also specific) method with values around 100% if the experimental conditions are proper. However, to reach these values, it is imperative to work in optimal conditions by eliminating contaminant factors in the sample which may alter PCR amplification.

kenny6666 [7]

The protist is single-celled like some bacteria but also has chloroplasts to perform photosynthesis like some plants.

According to this question, the structure of an euglena is given. The euglena is a protist that contains the following organelles: cell membrane, flagella, eyespot, chloroplast, and nucleus.

The euglena as a protist is similar to some bacteria by the possession of a single cells but similar to plant cells by possession of chloroplast for photosynthesis.
