Circle Area = PI*r^2
Semi Circle Area = (PI*r^2)/2
76.97 = (PI*r^2)/2
76.97 * 2 / PI = radius^2
radius^2 = 76.97 * 2 / PI
radius^2 = 153.94 / PI
radius^2 = 49
radius = 7
Diameter = 14 yards

Answer:

14 yards

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a semi circle is given by:

A = \frac{1}{2} \pi r^2

where, r is the radius of the semi-circle.

It is given that:

A = 76.97 sq. yards

\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2} \pi r^2=76.97 \\ \Rightarrow r = \sqrt{\frac{2\times 76.97}{\pi}} = 7 \text { yards}

We know that diameter is twice of radius.

Thus, diameter of the semicircle is, d = 2 × 7 = 14 yards.

QUESTION 1 The Senator of Azenator State, is worried about the rising numbers in high blood pressure related deaths in his Juris
Solnce55 [7]

Answera and Step-by-step explanation: Correlation Coefficient is the measure of how strong two variables are. There are numerous types of correlation coefficients and the product moment correlation coefficient, also known as <em>Pearson's correlation</em> or <em>Pearson's R</em> is most commonly used in linear regression. The formula to calculate it is:

r = n(∑xy) - (∑x)(∑y) / √[∑x² - (∑x)²].[n∑y² - (∑y)²]

To find the value of R:

1) Separate the values of X and Y and out them in 2 columns.

2) Add 3 more columns: for xy, x² and y²;

3) Find the values of each column;

4) Add each column;

5) Put the sum of each column in its place on the formula above;

6) Find the correlation.

i) For this question, r = 0.9645. As it's <u>positive</u>, means that the two variables are directly linked, i.e., an increase in one variable will produce an increase in the other variable in the same proportion.

ii) The Senator should distribute Norvasc to the old adults groups, because, as the <u>population grows</u>, the death associated with high blood pressure will <u>also grow</u>, as explained by the correlation coefficient.

Tonya runs 8 kilometers in 60 minutes.At this rate,how long it take her to run 2 kilometers
Setler79 [48]
15 Minutes

You have 8 km in an hour.

Divide all that by two and you'll have 4 km in 30 mins.

Then divide by two again to end up with 2 km in 15 mins.

You could alternatively divide by four from the beginning, but I find this easier.
