Compare Standard Deviations

Mathematics
1 answer:
Naily [24]3 years ago
7 0

Answer:

1-C, 2-B, 3-A, 4-E, 5-D

Step-by-step explanation:

It is convenient to let a graphing calculator or spreadsheet compute the standard deviations for you. (Some will compute sample standard deviation; some will compute population standard deviation. It makes no difference to the ordering, as long as the same computation is used for all data sets.)

What is the equation, in slope-intercept form, of the line that is perpendicular to the line
wolverine [178]

Answer:

y=3/2x+1

Step-by-step explanation:

y-4= -⅔(x-6)

y-4=-⅔x+4

y=-⅔x+4+4

(equation of line 1) y= -⅔x+8 gradient= -⅔

(line 2)gradient=3/2

note* the gradients of perpendicular lines multiplied result to -1

gradient=<u>y²-y²</u>

<u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u><u> </u>x²-x¹

<u>3</u><u> </u>=<u>y</u><u>+</u><u>2</u>

<u> </u><u> </u>2. x+2

multiply both sides by 2(x+2)to remove the denominators

3(x+2)=2(y+2)

3x+6=2y+4

3x+6-4=2y

3x+2=2y

divide all sides by 2

3/2x+1=y

y=3/2x+1

Solve.

x= -14.5

Step-by-step explanation:

-1.3=x-(-13.2)

the two - signs cross eachother out, making it a +.

making the equation -1.3=x-(-13.2) turn into -1.3=x+13.2.

so you should automatically know your x is going to have to be negative.

What I did:

13.2+1.3=14.5,

but since the 1.3 was actually negative, (-1.3) the 14.5 will turn negative, making it -14.5
