For question number 7:
They have given us that the probability of the seed producing pink flower is 1/5
Therefore, the point to be noted here is that the number that is given in the denominator is total outcomes of what the seed color can be
So by keeping this in mind that there are 5 outcomes total
1) the probability of getting pick is 1/5
So to get any other color would be =4/5
2) if two seeds are randomly selected then as it’s given the probability of pink is 1/5 but the IMPORTANT point here is the total outcomes will be 2 not 5 as only 2 seeds are picked so therefore,
Probability of one being pink will be =1/2
3) now here they want the probability of pink to be more than 0.99 which means it has to be 1 or more. Now if we have 5 seeds and we want the probability of the least number of seeds sown from which 1 is pink therefore,
The probability of at least one being pink is =1/2
HOPE IT WAS HELPFUL:)

Tom says that he needs 6 rolls to obtain each possible outcome on a 6-sided die. On the fourth roll, he rolls his second "3". To
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

Tom is incorrect

Step-by-step explanation:

The odds of getting any number on a 6-sided die are 1:6

Every time he rolls, there is a 1:6 chance he gets any number.  Therefore, it is totally plausible to get the same number again.  As the number of rolls tends toward infinity, the ratio of each number occurring to number of rolls equals 1:6.
