In Polynomials all the exponents of x-variable must be positive integers, then polynomials are:
a) -x^5+7x-1/2x^2+9, the exponents of x's are: 5, 1, and 2
b) x^3-4x-3, the exponents of x's are: 3, and 1
f) x^4+x^3√7+2x^2-√3/2x+π, the exponents of x's are: 4, 3, 2, and 1

Not polynomials are:
c) 4 / x^2-4x+3 = 4x^(-2)-4x+3, the exponents of x's are -2, and 1
d) x^4+5/x^3-√x+8=x^4+5x^(-3)-x^(1/2)+8, the exponents of x's are 4, -3, and 1/2
e) |x|^2+4√x-2=|x|^2+4x^(1/2)-2, the exponents of x's are 2 and 1/2

Answer:

5x^2 +8x-4

Step-by-step explanation:

(5x - 2) * (x + 2)

We can FOIL

first: 5x*x = 5x^2

outer : 2*5x = 10x

inner: -2x

last : -2*2 = -4

Add these together

5x^2 +10x-2x-4

5x^2 +8x-4

Hello,
To exist x≠0

if x>0 then
x+2/x>=3==>x²+2>=3x
==>x²-3x+2>=0
==>(x-2)(x-1)>=0 positive out of the roots
==> (x<=1 or x>=2) and x>0
==>(0<x<=1) or (x>=2)
else
x<0
x+2/x>=3==>x²+2<=3x
==>x²-3x+2<=0 negative betheen the roots
==>(1<=x<=2) and x<0 : no solution
end if

Answer:

Addition Property of Equality

Step-by-step explanation:

System of Equations

When two equations are given and two variables are unknown in both equations, then we can solve the system in several ways.

One method consists in adding both equations term by term and eliminate one of the variables. That property is called the addition of equalities. Let's consider the equations given in the problem:

5x+4y=-2\\2x-4y=6

If we add both equations, we have

5x+4y+2x-4y=-2+6

Simplifying

7x=4

By adding both equations we managed to eliminate the variable y and could easily find the value of x

x=4/7
