The thing with this kind of government is that it is not always representative of the whole territory, so the states that are correctly represented will agree with the politics because they will suit their needs, but the states that are not well represented will be discontent. Having in mind that most of the states will be far from the central activity, we can infer that it is less likely for a centralized political party to win elections.

But one could argue that centralized political party couldn't focus its attention to the region that is located far away from the central government, which is less effective in winning election
