So for this, we will be using tangent to solve (Remember that tangent = opposite/adjacent)

In this case, our equation is \frac{tan(36)}{1} =\frac{x}{15}

For this, all you need to do is cross-multiply, and your answer will be x=10.9

tangent (36°) = (opposite side) / (adjacent side)

tan(36°) = x / 15-ft

Multiply each side by 15-ft :

x = (15-ft) times tan(36°) .

from calculator, slide rule, or tables in a book, tan(36°) = 0.727

so

x = (15-ft) times (0.727)

x = 10.9 ft.

TO TRANSMIT INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET, LARGE FILES ARE BROKEN INTO PACKETS OF SMALLER SIZES. EACH PACKET HAS 1,500 BYTES OF IN
stich3 [128]

Answer:

A. It would be needed 20 packets to transmit 30,000 bytes of information and B. 45'000,000 (45 million) of bytes could be transmitted in 30,000 packets.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review the information provided to us for solving the question:

Size of each packet of information = 1,500 bytes

Number of packets = P

Number of bytes of information = B

2. Let's answer the questions:

A. How many packets would be needed to transmit 30,000 bytes of information?

P = 30,000 ÷ 1,500

P = 20

It would be needed 20 packets to transmit 30,000 bytes of information

B. How much information could be transmitted in 30,000 packets?

B = 30,000 * 1,500

B = 45'000,000

45'000,000 (45 million) of bytes could be transmitted in 30,000 packets.

Please solve-y(2+4y)
Elina [12.6K]
To solve this, you distribute the -y to both terms, 2 and 4y.
It will look something like this: (2*-y)+(4y*-y)
When you simplify, look for any like terms that can be combined, and if none, then leave it as it is.
Your final answer will be: -2y-4y^2

Alan deposited $300 into a savinga account. At the end of the first year, the amount of money in the account has increased to $3
Step2247 [10]
He had put in $300 and got out $336 at the end of the year.
This means an increase of $36 over a year.

10% of $300 = $30 dollars
This shows that he definitely got more than a 10% increase.

Alan got $6 more than $30 so to find 6 from 30, you divide by 5

so ( 10% = $30 ) divided by 5 = ( 2% = $6 )

Adding the amount of money and percentages gives you 12% = $36

So the amount of mpercentage increase is 12%

Overall the amount of money in his bank now compared to when he deposited it, he has 112% in the bank.
