How can I tell what diagram show that the cell will shrink ? I’m working on diffusion and osmosis worksheet.

Answer:

A cell will shrink in a hypertonic solution. In a hypertonic solution, there is more solute outside the cell than inside the cell. This means that water will leave the cell (diffuse) to try and create equilibrium, causing the cell to shrink.

In a diagram, there will be lots of solute outside the cell and less solute inside the cell.
