At The end of day vector have money left = $16

Let the money does Vector have at start = $x

<u>Now, According to question</u>

At The first store he had money with him = $x

So, After purchased of item, The money left with him = $x - $\dfrac{x}{3} = $\dfrac{2x}{3}

At The second store he had money with him = $\dfrac{2x}{3}

So, After purchased of item, The money left with him = $\dfrac{2x}{3}  - $\dfrac{2x}{9} = $\dfrac{4x}{9}

At The third store he had money with him = $\dfrac{4x}{9}

So, After purchased of item, The money left with him = $\dfrac{4x}{9}  - $\dfrac{4x}{27} = $\dfrac{8x}{27}

Now, Again

∵ At The day end the money left with Vector = $16

So, $\dfrac{8x}{27} = $16

Or. 8 x = $16 × 27

∴ x = \frac{16\times 27}{8}

i.e x = $54

So, The money which vector have = x = $54

Hence, The money which vector have is $54 Answer

From (i) and (ii), we get

m=-25

therefore slope of the line is

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\\or, m=\frac{1-(-1)}{-1-0}\\or, m=-2

Now we know that the equation of a line passing through a point (x_1,y_1) and with slope m is given by

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\

Substituting the values in the equation we get

y-(-1)=-2(x-0)

or, y=-1-2x

Therefore the equation of the line in function-form is f(x)=-2x-1 .Hence the second option is correct.
