50\times\frac{26}{100}\\\\=\frac{50\times26}{100}\\\\=\frac{1300}{100}\\\\=13\\\\50-13={\boxed{ \bf 37}}

50 points decreased by 26% is 37 points.

50\times\frac{26}{100}\\\\= 50 \times 0.26\\\\=13\\\\ 50-13={\boxed{ \bf 37}}

50 points decreased by 26% is 37 points.

First off lets find 26% of 50.

26 / 100 * 50 =  13.

Since we are decreasing, we subtract this value from 50 points.

= 50 - 13 =  37 points.

OR

Since we are decreasing we say 100% - 26% = 74%.

We now perform 74% of 50  =  74/100 * 50 = 37.

Either method is correct, and we arrive at the same answer.

So it is 37 points.

A container in the shape of a rectangular prism is shown. What is the volume, in cubic inches, of the container? V = lwh
Gala2k [10]

Answer:

V=2551.5\ in^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

Length of the prism, l = 20\dfrac{1}{4}\ in

The breadth of the prism, b = 10\dfrac{1}{2}\ in

The height of the prism, h = 12 in

We need to find the volume of the prism. The formula for the volume of a rectangular prism is given by :

V=lwh

Put all the values,

V= 20\dfrac{1}{4}\times 10\dfrac{1}{2}\times 12\\\\V=2551.5\ in^3

So, the volume of the rectangular prism is equal to 2551.5\ in^3.

What is the simplest form of the expression? sqr root 6x^8y^9/ sqr root 5x^2y^4
expeople1 [14]
For slightly greater clarity, write this expression as

sqrt(6x^8y^9)                                                   6x^8y^9
--------------------    This is equivalent to sqrt[ -------------------- ]
  sqrt(5x^2y^4)                                                  5x^2y^4

Reduce the quantity inside the square brackets, obtaining:

                                                        6*x^6*y^5
                                             sqrt[  ---------------- ]
                                                                 5

This simplifies as follows:     sqrt[ 6/5 ] * [ x^3 * y^(5/2)

which can be simplified even further if you wish.
