2/5y + 1/5x - 0.2y - 6 + -2 which are like terms. select all that apply
horrorfan [7]

\text{Like terms are } \frac{2}{5}y \text{ and } -0.2y

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

<em><u>Given that the expression is:</u></em>

\frac{2}{5}y + \frac{1}{5}x -0.2y-6+(-2)

We have to select the like terms

"Like terms" means that terms that has same variables with same exponent and same ( or different ) coefficients

In the given expression, y is a variable

Two terms has y as variable : \frac{2}{5}y \text{ and } -0.2y

Here variable "y" is same in both terms and coefficients are different

"x" is also a variable in given expression. But there are no other terms with "x" as variable

So they form a like terms

\frac{2}{5}y + \frac{1}{5}x -0.2y-6+(-2)\\\\\frac{2}{5}y - 0.2y + \frac{1}{5}x -6 + (-2)

Thus the like terms are : \frac{2}{5}y \text{ and } -0.2y

Explain the steps you would take to complete this conversion problem.
daser333 [38]

Answer:

2091 g

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiply the first two factors together, obtaining:

46     1 kg    1000 g

------ * ------ * -----------

2.2      1 kg      1

Reduce the first (fractional) factor:

20.91 * 1000 g = 2091 g

Which point do all exponential functions of the form y=a^x pass through
Bezzdna [24]
The answer should be A.

When we see the equation y=a^x we can relate to all the exponential functions, however, when the problem asked what points does all equations in that form pass through. I was instantly reminded by two facts.

One is that any number to the first is equal to itself. In other words, a^1=a

Another is that any number to the zero is equal to 1. a^x=1
if that is true, 1 will always be the x value since y=a^x and 0 will always be the x value because that is how y can be equal to one.
therefore, the answer is A: (0,1)
