What are the vertical and horizontal asymptote of f(x)=2x/x-1

F(x)=2x/(x-1)

Denominator cannot be equal 0.
x-1=0
x=1  is vertical asymptote.

To find horizontal asymptote
we need divide the coefficients before x
y=2x/x=2,because when x becomes really big (x---->∞) , value of 1 will not influence the result .
 y=2 is horizontal asymptote

Rename 5/6 and 5/8 using the least common denominator.
Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

5/6 = 20/24

5/8 = 15/24

Step-by-step explanation:

These are the answers because:

1) First, the least common denominator is 24 because 8 x 3 is 24 and 6 x 4 is 24

2) Next, multiply the numerators with the same number you multiplied with the denominator

5 x 3 = 15

5 x 4 = 20

3) Therefore, the answers are:

5/6 = 20/24

5/8 = 15/24

Hope this helps!

an architect created plans for a house using a scale factor of 1:16 . In the plans, the floor of the house has an area of 7 squa
Yuki888 [10]
To figure this out you would need to create a rectangle with dimensions that give you an area of 7 ft.². The easiest example would be a rectangle that is one by seven. If the scale is 1:16, that means for every foot it is actually representing 16 feet. The actual length and width would be found by multiplying 1×16 and 7×16. The true dimensions then would be 16 x 112. Multiply this together to get a total area of 1792 ft.².

Write the first 4 terms of the arithmetic sequence With first term 37 and common difference 9
alexandr402 [8]

Answers:

first term = 37

second term = 46

third term = 55

fourth term = 64

==========================================

Explanation:

Start at 37. Add 9 to this term to get the second term. Add 9 to that result to get the next term, and so on.

first term = 37

second term = 37+9 = 46

third term = 46+9 = 55

fourth term = 55+9 = 64

-----------

The nth term formula is

a(n) = 9n+28

It can be found by plugging a = 37 and d = 9 into the general form

a(n) = a + d*(n-1)

Simplify the expression 1.8-0.2x equallys -1.6. Step by step plzzz I will give you 100 points
posledela

1.8 - 0.2x = -1.6         Subtract 1.8 on both sides

1.8 - 1.8 - 0.2x = -1.6 - 1.8

-0.2x = -3.4        Divide -0.2 on both sides

\frac{-0.2x}{-0.2}=\frac{-3.4}{-0.2}

x = 17

torisob [31]
Jayana is trying to run 30 miles by the end of the months.

30% / 100% = 9 / x

9 * 100 = 900

900 / 30 = 30 miles
