Answer:

Number of Adult tickets = 3

Number of student tickets = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of Adults tickets = x

The number of students tickets = y

A. Specifically define variables for this system

x + y = 7...... Equation 1

They paid $6.50 for each adult ticket and $3.50 for each child's ticket.

$6.50 × x + $3.50 × y = $33.50

6.50x + 3.50y = 33.50.......Equation 2

B. Write a system of equations that reflects the relationships described in this situation

x + y = 7...... Equation 1

x = 7 - y

6.50x + 3.50y = 33.50.......Equation 2

6.50(7 - y) + 3.50y = 33.50

45.5 - 6.5y + 3.5y = 33.5

45.5 - 33.5 = 6.5y -3.5y

12 = 3y

y = 12/3

y = 4 tickets

x + y = 7...... Equation 1

x + 4 = 7

x = 7- 4

x = 3 tickets

I am going to assume ‘centimetre’ was a typo.

A^2 + B^2 = C^2

C^2 - A^2 = B^2

32 = B^2

Square root both sides

B = 5.7m high

The ladder will reach 5.7 meters high

guapka [62]
For this question you would have to multiply the cost ( $9.99 ) by how many yards are being bought (17.4) this is fairly simple , whip out your calculator . The answer is $173.83

Rewrite in simplest radical form, thx :)
Aleks [24]

Answer:

The answer is

\sqrt[3]{ {x}^{2} }

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{ {x}^{ \frac{5}{6} } }{ {x}^{ \frac{1}{6} } }

Since they have the same base and are dividing we can use the rules of indices

That's

subtract the exponents

So we have

{x}^{ \frac{5}{6} -  \frac{1}{6}  }

{x}^{ \frac{4}{6} }

=  {x}^{ \frac{2}{3} }

Rewriting it in radical form

We have the final answer as

\sqrt[3]{ {x}^{2} }

Hope this helps you
