Answer:

False

Explanation:

The tropical forest have well developed capony  as the they receive enormous amount of rainfall which increases the productivity of the forest. Due to dense canopies, the reach of sunlight with in the tropical forest  is just 10% of the total sunlight falling on it.

During the dry season, when the leaves fall from the trees, the canopy density reduces which allows adequate amount of sunlight to reach the ground.

Hence, the given statement is false

I believe that is false. The canopy can block 95% of the light. I might be wrong about which kind of forest though.

Which of the following is NOT a function of the hypothalamus? Which of the following is NOT a function of the hypothalamus? regu
lesya692 [45]

Answer: regulate the thalamus

Explanation:

The hypothalamus does not regulate the function of the thalamus, rather it is found below the thalamus where it helps control appetite or feeding; body temperature; the amount of water in the blood (known as osmo-regulation); and sleep rhythms.

Thus, the hypothalamus does not regulate the thalamus.

What are the end products of the electron transport chain?
solong [7]

The end products of electron transport chain are:

Water

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP)

Explanation:

  • Most of the free energy released during the oxidation of  glucose to CO₂ is retained in the reduced co-enzyme NADH and FADH₂, generated during the kreb's cycle.
  • Electron are released from these co-enzymes and are eventually transferred to an oxygen molecule to form water.
  • These transfer of electron from co-enzymes to oxygen molecule occurs through a series of protein complexes in the mitochondrial membrane. And the process is termed as Electron Transport Chain.
  • The large amount of free energy is released during the oxidation of NADH and FADH₂ is used in the production of ATP
