So what you would do is 3000 divided by 150 which is 20 then you would multiply 20 by 2 which is 40 so 40 is most likely defective.

Answer:

40 products were likely to be defective.

Step-by-step explanation:

A factory worker conducted a test on a random sample of 150 products out of which 2 were found to be defected.

That means percentage of defective products was = \frac{2}{150}\times 100=1.33

This concludes that 1.33% products were found to be defective.

Now based on this information we will find defective products in a batch of  3000 products.

Number of defective products = 3000×1.33% =  \frac{(3000).(1.33)}{100}=40

Therefore 40 products were likely to be defective.

If n and k are positive integers, is n divisible by 6 ? (1) n = k(k + 1)(k – 1) (2) k – 1 is a multiple of 3.
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer: yes, it is

Step-by-step explanation:

A number is divisible by 6 if it is divisible by 2 and 3 simultaniously.

n = k(k+1)(k-1)

If k-1 is a multiple of 3, n is divisible by 3, so one of the requirements is ok.

Now, if k-1 is a multiple of 3, it can be even or odd.

if k-1 is even, then it is divisible by 2 and as it is divisible by 3 as well, n is divisible by 6

if k-1 is odd, then k and k+1 is even, hence, divisible by 2.

As n = k(k+1)(k-1), n is also divisible by 6.

Greg's football team played 16 games this season and won 12 of them.
ruslelena [56]
You need to divide 12 by 16 to get a decimal that you can turn into a percent. 12 ÷ 16 = .75. You turn that .75 into 75%. Greg's football team won 75% of their games.

Please solve.<br> -7 = z over 2 + 1
mafiozo [28]
-7=z/2+1

What you first need to do is to multiply both sides of the equation by 2

-14=z+2

Now you move the variable to the left side and change within it’s own sign

-z-14=2

Into

-z=2+14

Now you then add the numbers

-z=16

The last part you do is change the sign on both sides in this equation

z=-16

Therefore, z=-16 is your answer in number 16.
