People became self-centered and uncaring. Urbanization gave birth to an increase in the slum in the cities. Individualism increased which favored self-increment and not on the betterment of the society. Children were not allowed to imagine and live in the world of fancy. They were taught to live with logic and reason. This period saw the downfall of humanity in the history of mankind.

I think first sentence and last two. The first one is appealing to a pet owner's feelings of wanting to be a good pet owner and the merchant is using that to persuade them to buy the biscuits. The last two sentences are appealing to a person's feelings of loneliness or being left out and using that to convince you to buy a pool. They both appeal to people's emotions in order to persuade them towards action, that's what it means to use pathos.

This is why she decided to take matters into her own hands and therefore she pretended to faint. Thus everyone gathered around her to help her, and Macbeth 'fortunately' didn't get the chance to reveal their crime to everyone.
