Knowledge function of motivation occurs when the individual is aware of the universe around him and is able to draw conclusions about certain factors based on logical and concrete information that allows him to make correct and accurate decisions about certain subjects. An example of this can be seen in the question above, because an individual was able to conclude that a particular toothbrush was better than other toothbrushes, because it was able to retain the information that that toothbrush removes plaque more than other toothbrushes.
