Explanation:

The tissue below is an example of fibrous connective tissue; loose type

Cells sharing a similar origin, group together in the body to form tissues; these typically share physical features and are arranged in regular patterns cells within the human body can generally be placed into four groups:

  1. epithelial which refers to sheets of cells covering exterior surfaces and internal organs;
  2. connective tissue which functions to bind cells and organs together while protecting, supporting and integrating different regions.
  3. muscle tissue which responds to simulation, allowing for movement and locomotion;
  4. nervous tissue which responds to electrical impulses, allowing for communication between different regions of the body

Connective tissue are usually spread out in a formation called a matrix. The matrix contains lots of extracellular components which are made by cells within connective tissue; it mainly consists of a fluid ground substance which is interwoven with fibers of protein. Connective tissues. mainly contain cells, the ground substance and protein fibers; each of these are present in varying amounts, related to the<em> structure and function</em> of the tissue. For instance, the ground substance and bone is made up of a very rigid material which allows bone to function as a support structure.

It is further classified in to loose and dense tissue types which exist in multiple variations; in the loose tissue, fibers are aggregated loosely without a regular arrangement and often contains large spaces. Additionally connected tissue also contains cell types like fibroblasts. The loose tissue types act as shock-absorbers and allow water, nutrients and salts to diffuse throughout the tissue  to nearby tissue and cells.

What problem does the chromosome number of various organisms present to evolutionists?
SashulF [63]
Chromosome number varies from one organism to another. or example, humans have 46 chromosomes while bacteria have only one chromosome.

The problem associated with the chromosome number of various organisms faced by evolutionists is that with the decrease in the size of an organism, the number of chromosomes also decrease. Thus, it becomes difficult to find and study the chromosomes.

11. Punnett squares can also be used to predict genotypes of the parents. A guinea pig with short hair is crossed
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

Ss × ss

Explanation:

This question involves a single gene coding for hair length in guinea pigs. The alleles for short hair (S) is dominant over that of long hair (s).

According to this question, a guinea pig with short hair (S_) is crossed to one that has long hair (ss) to produce offsprings that have 44 short hair and 46 long hair. This number of offsprings produced indicate a ratio of 1:1, which can only be produced if the short haired guinea pig is heterozygous i.e. Ss.

Therefore, the genotype of the parents are Ss (short hair) and ss (long hair) i.e. Ss × ss. This combination will produce offsprings with the following proportion: Ss (1) : ss (1).
