Two ships are 10 km apart and moving toward each other at 6.0 km/h and 4.0 km/h, respectively. A bird flies continuously back an

Answer: 20 km

Step-by-step explanation: Let's assume a trajectory of Ships A (which is moving at 6 km/h) and B (which is moving at 4 km/h)

__________________

A            10 km           B

And let's assume that who is going to the right is the positive.

Space (S) = S₀ + vt

For A, its space is SA = 0 + 6t

For B, its space is SB = 10 - 4t

They meet at SA = SB;

6t = 10 - 4t

6t + 4t = 10

10t = 10

t = 1h

If the bird is at 20 km/h and it will fly for 1h, it will travel 20 km

sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

13/9

y =-22x+32

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the functions f and g are differentiable for all real numbers x. The table below gives values for the functions and their first derivatives at selected values of x.

x f(x) f'(x) g(x) g'(x)

1 4 -3 5 2

2 -3 -1 4 6

3 π 8 -1 4

4 -5 unknown 0 3

a) h(x) = \frac{f(x)}{g(x)} \\h'(x) = \frac{g(x)f'(x)-f(x)g'(x)}{(g(x))^2}

(using quotient rule)

Substitute 1 for x

h'(1) = \frac{g(1)f'(1)-f(1)g'(1)}{(g(1))^2}\\=\frac{9-(-4)}{9} \\=\frac{13}{9}

b) r(x) = f(x) g(x)\\r'(x) = f(x) g'(x)+g(x)f'(x)

when x =2, r(x) = r(2) = f(2) g(2) = -12

point of contact is (2,-12)

Slope of tangent =r'(2) = f(2) g'(2)+g(2)f'(2)\\=-18+(-4) \\=-22

Using point slope form, tangent is

y+12 = -22(x-2)\\y = -22x +32

it would depend how much you actually used, but you would take the amount you used  and divide it by the total amount of yarn. so if the yarn was 4m long and you used 2m then it would be 2/4 which is 0.5 which is also 50%, so half the yarn was used.

Multiply.<br> 12x^4 (-5/6x^3y^2)
Darya [45]

Answer:

-10x^{7}y^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

12x^{4}(-\frac{5}{6} x^{3}y^{2})
First multiply 12 * - \frac{5}{6} , solving this you get -10
Next multiply x^{4} by x^{3} , solving this you get x^{7}

Finally you have y^{2}, and nothing to multiply it by. So it stays as y^{2}

Put is all together and you get -10x^{7}y^{2}
