Okay you use this equation for point-slope form. m=y2-y1 / x2-x1
m is what most have agreed to be the variable for slope so that’s what I’ll use.
So with the two points you have you have 2 x’s and 2 y’s. All you have to do is just assign (give) a 1 or a 2 to each point, you’re basically labeling them to make it easier on you later. You NEED to make sure that for one point you put down both the x and the y for the same number. You can’t have x1 and y2 for the same point.

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s label them. (-5,4) —> (x1,y1)
(1,6) —> (x2,y2).

Now go through with the equation 6-4 = 2

1-(-5) which is really just 1+5=6

2/6 which simplified to 1/3

So m=1/3

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope is given by change in the ordinate divided by change in the abscissa.= Y2-Y1/X2-X1

=6-4/1+5= 2/6= 1/3

The answer is D because is you add a one under the 9 you get 9/1 x 2/3 and you can just multiply straight away and get 18/3 but if you need to simplify more you get 6

7.7.4 Practice: Modeling: Similarity Theorems will give brainliest
Nimfa-mama [501]

Similar triangles may or may not be congruent

 • The height of the peak is 72 feet
 • The triangles are similar by AA similarity postulate

How to determine the similarity statement

First, we determine the height of the peak using the following equivalent ratios

P B : B M = T F : F M

So, we have:

PB : 20ft= 6ft : 1ft\ 8in

Express the units in inches

PB : 240in= 72in: 20in

Express as fractions

\frac{PB}{240} = \frac{72}{20}

Multiply both sides by 240

PB = \frac{72 * 240}{20}

PB = 864

Express as feet

PB = 72 feet

So, the height of the peak is 72 feet

The ratio also means that the triangles are similar by AA similarity postulate
