Roxanna's normal hourly pay is $ 12

<u>Solution:</u>

Lets assume Roxanna's normal hourly pay = "x"

As overtime pay is 1.5 times of normal pay

So Roxanna's overtime hourly pay = x \times 1.5 = 1.5x

Also given in 4 hours, in overtime Roxanna earned $72.00

So in 1 hour, in overtime Roxanna earned = \frac{72}{4} = 18

That means Roxanna's overtime hourly pay = 18

Also we have calculated Roxanna's overtime hourly pay in terms of "x" that is 1.5x

=> 1.5x = 18

=> x = \frac{18}{1.5} = 12

Roxanna’s normal hourly pay = x = $12

Question
ladessa [460]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

4s + 2j = 68........2j = -4s + 68........j = -2s + 34

3s + 3j = 81

3s + 3(-2s + 34) = 81

3s - 6s + 102 = 81

3s - 6s = 81 - 102

-3s = - 21

s = -21/-3

s = 7 <==== shirts cost 7 bucks

j = -2s + 34

j = -2(7) + 34

j = -14 + 34

j = 20 <===== jeans cost 20 bucks

Justin deposited $2,000 into an account 5 years ago. Simple interest was paid on the account. He has just withdrawn $2,876. What
RSB [31]

Answer: 8.76%

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula to find the simple interest is given by :-

I=Prt, where P is the principal amount, r is rate of interest () in decimal and t is the time ( in years).   (1)

Given : Justin deposited $2,000 into an account 5 years ago.

i.e. P = $2,000 ,  t= 5 years

He has just withdrawn $2,876. i.e. Future value = $2,876

Interest (I)=$2,876-$2,000=$876  [Subtract Principal value from Future value]

Substitute all the above values of P , t , and I in the formula (1) , we get

876 =(2000)r(5)\\\\\Rightarrow\ r=\dfrac{876 }{2000\times5}\\\\\Rightarrow r=\dfrac{876}{10000}=0.0876

In percent , r=0.0876\times100=8.76\%

Hence, the rate of interest = 8.76%

A game-show spinner has these odds of stopping on particular dollar values: 40% for $5, 25% for $100, 20% for $500, and 15% for
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

13÷ 23

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the odds of player winning is shown below;

For $5 it is 40%

And, for $100 it is 25%

so for total it is

= 40% + 25%

= 65%

And, the total percentage is 100%

So, the odds in favor is

65:100

13:20

Now for winning it would be 13÷ 23
