The correct answer is B. The infection most likely causes bats to wake up during hibernation.

Explanation

According to the fragment of the question, the author said that bats need fat to feed during the hibernation from winter to spring, also they "wake up briefly once or twice a month". On the other hand, the author said "Infected bats seem to run out of fat in the middle of winter", also they "wake up from hibernation every four to five days", and "expend valuable calories flying around" According to the above, the conclusion that can be drawn about the infection is the infection probably causes bats to wake up during hibernation, because only infected bats have an abnormal hibernation cycle, also, this might be associated to the low rate of fats that are found in infected bats.

9966 [12]

Answer:

A market for cats would have had a positive externality.

Because the cats would kill the rats on sight since that is their natural behavior.

However, it is interesting to mention, that the cat's killing has been more of a "mythic" aspect of this story, since it fails to take into account that since the black death was caused by the yersinia pestis bacteria, cats could have been also infected, and since their interactions with humans are greater than rats or fleas, the real outcome could have been totally unexpected.

Understand how politics is the struggle over "who gets what when and how"
Aliun [14]
This is the hierarcy of a combination of concepts: social status, economics, privilege, and being a minority or majority. Politics is the science of how human social status and the degree of wealth a person has can affect the life they live. Politicians are meant to represent the people. They are citizens just like us with different family backgrounds but they have the privilege of being leaders. This means they often decide who gets what when and how.
