"Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it." -Lou Holtz. This inspiring quote is a perfect reminder of where success and hard work can get you. Motivation is a thing of sorts that really boil down to the individual person. Depending on your experiences, beliefs, struggles, and accomplishments, you will either respond better to positive or negative experiences. So, how do you determine what works best for you?

Say you grew up in a small, religious household, with strict rules and regulations. Your parents may have used harsher, or more negative punishments to correct you as a child.  This could cause you to feel familiar with this form of discipline, and possibly have you carry it out with you in the world. It is not a bad reinforcement to have. In fact, it might cause you to think more cold and factual about real life decisions, which will most likely cause you to move up to work ladder in life.

Another scenario could be that you were very coddled and cared to as a child. Maybe your parents were your safety net, and they handled their punishments and consequences more loosely. This is not necessarily bad either if the nursing was not too severe and prominent. When you grow up and move out into the world, you would most likely respond well to positive reinforcement, because you are not used to negative, or even slightly controlled, punishment(s). This person would more than likely be enormously giving and empathetic for others. They might choose a job that involves helping (or just being around) many other people.

Recent years of research has determined that the best one out of the two, might in fact, be both! This is because too much of one or the other could cause a person to act extreme in their responses and actions. For example, if you are constantly being negatively punished as a child, you could become cold, depressed, or even apathetic. On the other hand, being too catered to and not having enough rules in place could cause one to be immature and have to sense of direction. It could also cause this person to be disorganized and not time-efficient. The best thing to do for yourself, or a child, is to create a healthy balance of the two.

Explain the conflict between brand and wetherell

By wading into the highly contentious issue of Native American nicknames and mascots for college sports teams on Friday, National Collegiate Athletic Association leaders achieved their stated aim of sending a clear message that they object to such imagery. But the NCAA also created a cacophony of confusion and put the association in the potentially uncomfortable position of judging when Native American references are “hostile” and “abusive” and when they’re not – questions that could take months, and possibly help from the courts, to resolve.

Four years after the NCAA began looking into the subject, its executive committee announced that beginning in February, it would limit participation in its own postseason championships for 18 colleges and universities with Native American mascots, nicknames or other imagery that the association deemed "hostile and abusive."

The NCAA said that (1) it would no longer let such institutions play host to its national tournaments; (2) colleges already scheduled to sponsor such events would have to eliminate any references to the Indian imagery from the arenas or stadiums; (3) such colleges could not bring mascots, cheerleaders or any other people or paraphernalia that feature Native American imagery to NCAA championships, beginning in 2008; and (4) athletes may not wear uniforms or other gear with "hostile and abusive" references at NCAA tournament events. (The NCAA’s actions don’t directly affect bowl games, which the association does not control, or anything that happens in the regular season.)

Sure no problem. I also ran it through Gramarly Premium word check and phrase.

Before:

In The Alchemist, the spiritual unity represented by the Soul of the World binds together all of nature, from human beings to desert sand. This idea underlies the parallel we see in the novel between the alchemist purifying metal into gold and Santiago purifying himself into someone capable of achieving his Personal Legend. According to the novel, the Soul of the World has created an ultimate desire, or Personal Legend, for everything, whether Santiago or a piece of iron. To accomplish its Personal Legend, each thing must learn to tap into the Soul of the World, which purifies it. That continual purification ultimately leads to perfection. This notion of humans, metals, and all other things sharing the same goal demonstrates that all elements in nature are essentially different forms of a single spirit."

After:

In The Alchemist, the profound solidarity addressed by the Soul of the World ties together the entirety of nature, from people to abandon sand. This thought underlies the equal we find in the novel between the chemist refining metal into gold and Santiago cleaning himself into somebody equipped for accomplishing his Personal Legend. As per the novel, the Soul of the World has made an extreme craving, or Personal Legend, for everything, regardless of whether Santiago or a piece of iron. To achieve its Personal Legend, every thing should figure out how to take advantage of the Soul of the World, which decontaminates it. That consistent refinement eventually prompts flawlessness. This thought of people, metals, and any remaining things having a similar objective exhibits that all components in nature are basically various types of a solitary soul."
