This would look like:

10/12

Next look for a common divisor that works for both the top (numerator) and bottom (denominator) numbers. Incidentally, think 'Notre Dame' or ND if you cannot remember which is which.

Dividing by 2 works for both numbers, so dividing the '10' and the '12' by 2 gives you a simplified form of 5/6.

And voila! That's your answer!

Citrus2011 [14]

Given :

Kiara spent $28 on 4 ribbons and 5 balloons.

Sarah spent $28 on 8 ribbons and 3 balloons.

To Find :

The cost of each ribbon and each balloon.

Solution :

Let, cost of each ribbon is x and balloon is y.

For situation 1 :

4x + 5y = 28     ...1)

For situation 2 :

8x + 3y = 28    ...2)

Multiplying equation 1) by 2 and subtracting equation 2) by it :

2( 4x + 5y ) - ( 8x + 3y ) = 2 × 28 - 28

10y - 3y = 28

y = 4

Putting value of y in equation 1) , we get :

x = \dfrac{28-(5\times 4)}{4}\\\\x = 2

Therefore, the cost of each ribbon and each balloon is $2 and $4 respectively.

PLS HELP ME ON THIS QUESGTION I WILL MARK YOU AS BRAINLIEST IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER PLS GIVE ME A STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION!!
lord [1]

Answer:

D. Range

Step-by-step explanation:

The definition of range is as the question says, and we can also use the process of elimination to make sure it's not the others.

A mean is the average of a data set.

A mode is the item that appears the most times.

And a median is the middle number.

As you can see, A, B, C all don't fit the given statement in the question, so it is D. Range.

I hope this helped! :D

zlopas [31]

Answer:

-3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

6=|x|+3-x

move the terms

-|x|+x=3-6

-|x|+x=-3

-x+x=-3 , x > 0 (put a line under >)

-(-x)+x=-3 , x < 0

-3/2 , x < 0 find the intersection

x= -3/2

if you dont want it as a fraction you can do -1.5 in decimal form
