Answer:

QPR = 73

Step-by-step explanation:

there opposite angles so there equal, therefore we set them equal to each other

(6x+25)=(10x-7)

-4x= -32

x= 8

plug in

6(8)+25

73

What is the answer to <br> -2x+2(5x+18)=-4
adell [148]

Answer:

x = -5

Step-by-step explanation:

-2x+2(5x+18)=-4

The first thing you would have to do is distribute the positive 2 with 5x and 18 so that means you would multiply those two number inside the parenthesis.

-2x+ 10x+ 36=-4              2(5x)=10x     2(18)=36

Now you combined like terms on the other side of the -4. So since -2x and 10x are like terms because of the variables you would do -2x+10x=8x. So now your equation is 8x+36=-4. So now you want you x by itself so you would subtract 36 on both sides so positive 36 subtracted by 36 is 0 now you subtract 36 to -4 so that equals -40 because you did -4-36=-40. So now you have 8x=-40 so now you divide both sides by 8x so -40/8=-5

x=-5

Suppose that the height (in centimeters) of a candle is a linear function of the amount of time (in hours) it has been burning.
kolbaska11 [484]

If the height of candle after 10 and 26 hours are 25 cm and 17 cm then the height of candle after 21 hours is 19.5 cm.

Given height of candle after 10 hours is 25 cm , height of candle after 26 hours is 17 cm.

We have to find the height of candle after 21 hours.

We have been given two points of linear function (10,25),(26,17).

We have to first form an equation which shows the height of candle after x hours.

let the hours be x and the height be y.

Equation from two points will be as under:

(y-y_{1} )=(y_{2} -y_{1} )/(x_{2} -x_{1} )*(x- x_{1} )

(y-25)=(17-25)/(26-10)* (x-10)

y-25=-8/16 *(x-10)

16(y-25)=-8(x-10)

16y-400=-8x+80

8x+16y=480

Now we have to put x=21 to find the height of candle after 21 years.

8*21+16y=480

168+16y=480

16y=480-168

16y=312

y=312/16

y=19.5

Hence the height of candle after 21 hours is 19.5 cm.
