Strike441 [17]
You subtract 7m and 13m which would give you -6m after you have -6m - 5= 25 then you add 5 which gives you 30 you then you divide that by -6 which gives you m=-5

Helena has five different flowers. She plans to give one flower to each of her five teachers in any order. She gives the first f
Ierofanga [76]
We are asked to find the number of combinations in which the 4 remaining flowers can be given to 4 flowers.

When she gives the next teacher a flower, there are 4 options. Next, there will only be 3 options since one flower was given away. Next there will be 2 options, and finally there will only be 1 flower left.

This means that there are:

4! = 4 * 3 * 2 * 1 = 24 ways to give the remaining flowers.

The answer is 24.

Plz help i can't figure this out for the life of me and it's due tmr
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The diagram shows the rectangle with vertices at A(3,4), B(3,7), C(4,7) and D(4,4).

1. Rotate rectangle ABCD by 180° about the point (3,4) (vertex A). This rotation has the rule:

(x,y)\rightarrow (6-x,8-y)

So, the image points have the coordinates A'(3,4), B'(3,1), C'(2,1) and D'(2,4)

2. Dilate by a scale factor of 2 with the center of dilation at origin. This dilation has the rule:

(x,y)\rightarrow (2x,2y)

So, the image points have the coordinates A''(6,8), B''(6,2), C''(4,2) and D''(4,8)

3. Reflect it over the y-axis. This reflection has the rule:

(x,y)\rightarrow (-x,y)

So, the image points have the coordinates A'''(-6,8), B'''(-6,2), C'''(-4,2) and D'''(-4,8) that are exactly the coordinates of the second rectangle shown.

Thus, correct option is option D.

Solve this equation using an algebraic method: (x + 4)( x - 4) = 9<br> Help me out please
Artyom0805 [142]
You have to FOIL out the (x+4)(x-4) and then subrtract away the 9 in order to get a quadratic that you can solve for x.  As it is, you can't do it.
(x+4)(x-4)= x^{2} -4x+4x-16= x^{2} -16
Now if you move the 9 over with it, you get this:
x^{2} -16-9=0
which simplifies to
x^{2} -25=0
Now you can either solve this by recognizing that is the difference of perfect squares, or you can move the 25 over to the other side and take the square root of both sides, like this:
x^{2} =25
\sqrt{ x^{2} } = \sqrt{25}
x=+/-5

Y=3x-2<br>how would you graph this? send help
alukav5142 [94]

Shown in the figure below

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

First of all, we have the following equation:

y=3x-2

This is the equation of a line given in Slope-intercept form as the form:

y=mx+b \\ \\ \\ Where: \\ \\ m:Slope \\ \\ b:y-intercept

So this line passes through the point (0,-2) which is the y-intercept. To graph this line, we'd need another point. So let set y=0:

0=3x-2 \\ \\ Isolating \ x: \\ \\ 3x=2 \\ \\ x=\frac{2}{3}

So another point is:

(\frac{2}{3},0)

Finally, we graph a line that passes through these two points:

(0,-2) \ and \ (\frac{2}{3},0)

This is shown in the figure below.
