The ratio of black horses to white horses is 4 : 33.

Solution:

Given that , A herd of 37 horses has 33 white and some black horses.

We have to find what is the ratio of black horses to white horses?

Now, number of black horses = total number of horses – number of white horses

Number of black horses = 37 – 33 = 4 horses

Now, ratio of number of black horses to number of white horses = number of black horses : number of white horses

= 4 : 33

Hence, the ratio of black horses to white horses is 4 : 33

We know that angle2+angle3+90=180 (since we see the right angle in the corner and all internal angles add up to 180) so

angle3=40
subsitute
angle2+40+90=180
angle2+130=180
subtract 130
angle2=50

The exclamation point (!) on a billboard consists of a circle sector and circle. The radius of the sector is 9 ft, and the radiu
harina [27]

Answer:

 24.0 square feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the sector is given by ...

 A = (1/2)r²θ . . . . . where θ is the angle in radians

The area of the circle is the same, with θ=2π, so is ...

 A = πr²

__

In this problem, the area of the sector is ...

 A = (1/2)(9 ft)²(24π/180) = 27π/5 ft² ≈ 16.9646 ft²

The area of the circle is ...

 A = π(1.5 ft)² = 9π/4 ft² ≈ 7.0686 ft²

Then the total area of the exclamation point is ...

 16.9646 +7.0686 ≈ 24.0 . . . ft²

The area is about 24.0 square feet.

In a lottery game, a player picks six numbers from 1 to 22. If the player matches all six numbers, they win 20,000 dollars. Othe
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

Total possible number of outcomes = C(24,6) [24 choose 6]

=24!/(6!18!)

= 134596

Out of which there is only one winning combination.

Therefore we conclude:

P(win 20000)=1/134596

P(lose 1)=134595/134596

and hence the expected value is:

20000*(1/134596)+(-1)*(134595/134596)

=-114595/134596

=-0.8514 (rounded to four places after decimal)

Step-by-step explanation:

Hope this helped!

Select a setting so that each given point will lie within the viewing window.
NemiM [27]

Answer:

The given points are

(-13,3)\\(0,0)\\(-2,-7)

The setting would have a interval or 2 units above and below the minimum and maximum of each coordinate.

The given maxium horizontal coordinate is 0.

The given minimum horizontal coordinate is -13.

The given maximum vertical coordinate is 3.

The given minimum vertical coordinate is -7.

Now, we extend each maximum and minimum value by 2 units to create the setting.

So, the setting is

x_{min}=-15\\x_{max}=2\\ y_{min}=-9\\y_{max}=5

With a scale of 2 units.
