The mitosis is the name of the process by which cell membrane divides to form two new daughter cells by dividing the cytoplasm of the cell both daughter cells have their own cell wall and nuclei after division. The process in which the cytoplasm divide is called cytokinesis. Mitosis is a process in which chromosomes are segregated to form a daughter nuclei.
