Suppose that circles A and B have a central angle measuring 100°. Additionally, the measure of the sector for circle A is 10π m2

and for circle B is 40π m2.

We know that
When circles have the same central angle measure, the ratio of measure of the sectors is the same as the ratio of the radii squared.
so
rA²/rB²=A/B
where
rA-------> radius circle A
rB------> radius circle B
A------> area sector A
B------> area sector B
rB²=B*rA²/A-------> 6²*[40π]/[10π]-------> 144--------> rB=√144
rB=12 m

the answer is
radius of circle B is 12 m

Find the first four terms of the sequence given a1=18 and an+1=2+an/2.
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

hello

a_1=18\\\\a_2=2+\dfrac{a_1}{2}=2+\dfrac{18}{2}=2+9=11\\\\a_3=2+\dfrac{a_2}{2}=2+\dfrac{11}{2}=\dfrac{4+11}{2}=\dfrac{15}{2}\\\\a_4=2+\dfrac{a_3}{2}=2+\dfrac{15}{2}=\dfrac{4+15}{2}=\dfrac{19}{2}

hope this helps

You have 3 gallons of brown stock. You need 6 cups to make one serving of braised short ribs. How many servings can you make?
Vilka [71]

Answer: 8 servings can be made

Step-by-step explanation:

Concept:

As we can see from the question there are two different units applied [gallons] and [cups]; therefore, we need to do the unit conversion.

<u>1 gallon = 16 cups</u>

Solve:

Given there are 3 gallons of brown stock, we need to convert gallons into cups.

  • 1 gallon = 16 cups
  • 3 gallons = 16 × 3 = 48 cups

Then, divide 48 cups by 6 cups to find out how many servings can be made.

  • 48 cups / 6 cups = 8 servings

Hope this helps!! :)
