A + b = 20
a = 5(b + 2)

5(b + 2) + b = 20
5b + 10 + b = 20
5b + b = 20 - 10
6b = 10
b = 10/6
b = 5/3

a = 5(b + 2)
a = 5(5/3 + 2)
a = 5(5/3 + 6/3)
a = 5(11/3)
a = 55/3

55/3 + 5/3 = 20
60/3 = 20
20 = 20 (correct)

so Brian (b) traveled 5/3 hrs...or 1 2/3 hrs
Annie (a) traveled 55/3 hrs ....or 18 1/3 hrs
