If we know that team won 84 games and its 14 more than they lost we can find number of lost game by calculating 84-14=70 - number of games lost
To find number of played match we can just add won and lost games
84+70=154

84 -14 to find out how many games they lost to find how many games they played add how many games were lost and how many games they won which is 84+60=154

A system of equations has infinitely many solutions. If 2y – 4x = 6 is one of the equations, which could be the other equation?
Molodets [167]

Hi there!

\large\boxed{y = 2x + 6}

For a system to have infinite solutions, the lines have to be the same. We can begin by rearranging the given equation into the format y = mx + b:

2y - 4x = 6

Move x to the opposite side:

2y = 4x + 6

Divide all terms by 2:

y = 2x + 6

The answer choice that matches this is the first one.

The entrance hall in Black's family house has a perimeter of 71 2/3 ft.IF it is 9 2/5 ft wide, how long is it?
serious [3.7K]

Answer: 26 13/30 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The hall is in the shape of a rectangle. The perimeter of a rectangle is:

= 2(length + width)

= 2l + 2w

Since perimeter = 71 2/3 ft and Width = 9 2/5 ft wide, the length will be calculated thus:

Perimeter = 2l + 2w

71⅔ = 2l + 2(9 2/5)

71 2/3 = 2l + (2 × 47/5)

71 2/3 = 2l + 94/5

71 2/3 = 2l + 18 4/5

Collect like terms

2l = 71 2/3 - 18 4/5

2l = 71 10/15 - 18 12/15

2l = 52 13/15

l = (52 13/15 ÷ 2)

l = 793/15 × 1/2

l = 793/30

l = 26 13/30

Therefore, the length is 26 13/30ft

A bedroom has a length of x+ 3 feet and a width of x-1 feet. Write a polynomial to express the area of the bedroom. Then calcula
jekas [21]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Length = x+3

Width = x-1

Area = l*b

where l is the length of the bedroom

and b is the breadth or width of the bedroom

The polynomial can be written as:

Area=(x+3)(x-1)

Now we will find the area of the room when x=10

First we will find the values of length and width.

Length = x+3

Length = 10+3 = 13

Width = x-1

Width = 10-1=9

Now put the values in the formula:

Area=l*b

Area=13*9

Area = 117 square feet....
