The correct answer is - A) arthropods evolved before vertebrates did.

The arthropods have evolved much earlier than the vertebrates. They were on the scene millions of years before the earliest marine forms of the vertebrates. Because the arthropods were on the scene much earlier, they managed to use the newly formed suitable environment on the land. They were initially marine, but with only slight adaptations they were able to adapt to the terrestrial life.

Once the arthropods got out of the marine environment and started to take up the niches in the terrestrial environment, they experienced a real explosion in their evolution and diversification. They were the dominant land dwellers, and because of the lack of competition, as well as the higher levels of oxygen, they managed to reach pretty big sizes for their standards. Unfortunately for them, their brain capacity is limited to a very low level, so once the competition came on the scene, they were quickly pushed from the throne as the dominant terrestrial creatures.

xxTIMURxx [149]

The oldest true fossils are trace fossils called Stromatolites found in Australia, and dated between 3.5 to 3.3 billion years old.

Raphael Baumgartner and their team have finally uncovered evidence of organic matter in the ancient rock formations known as stromatolites found at the Dresser Formation fossil site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. They detail their findings in a new article published in the journal Geology.

With a variety of methods, including scanning electron microscopy, scanning transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, nano-scale secondary ion mass spectrometry, and stable carbon isotope analysis, the researchers examined the samples in thin slices.

According to the team's analyses, pyrite, a mineral with many tiny pores, makes up the majority of the stromatolites. Additionally, the pyrite contains nitrogen-bearing organic material and strands and filaments of organic material that closely resemble the remains of microbial biofilm colonies.

Explain how the sun determines climate distribution. What type of weather conditions does the sun control?
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

The rate of energy coming from the Sun changes slightly day to day. It has been suggested that changes in solar output might affect our climate both directly, by changing the rate of solar heating of the Earth and atmosphere, and indirectly, by changing cloud forming processes

The Sun warms our planet, heating the surface, the oceans and the atmosphere. This energy to the atmosphere is one of the primary drivers our weather. Our climate is also strongly affected by the amount of solar radiation received at Earth.

What is the significance of the Agricultural Revolution?
Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

Hope this is helpful to you!

The Agricultural Revolution of the 18th century paved the way for the Industrial Revolution in Britain. New farming techniques and improved livestock breeding led to amplified food production. This allowed a spike in population and increased health. The new farming techniques also led to an enclosure movement.
