Answer:

1. MgCl2(aq) + H2SO4(aq) --> Mg(SO4)(aq) + 2HCl(aq)

2. Sr(s) + F2(g) = SrF2

3. 2NaHCO3(s) + 2HCl(aq) = 2NaCl(s) + 2CO2(g) + 2H2O

4. 2LiOH(aq) + 2HBr(aq) = 2LiBr(aq) + 2H2O

5. 2Ca(s) + 2Cl2(g) = 2CaCl2(s)

6. NH4OH(aq) + KOH(aq) = KOH(aq) + NH4OH(aq)

Explanation:

1. Its MgSO4 not Mg(SO4)2.

2. SrF2 not Sr2F.

3. 2H2O was missed out.

4. It's CaCl2 not CaCl.

The count of each element must be the same for each side of the equation.

How did the Bohr model of the atom affect scientific thought?
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

C. Scientists accepted the model at first but later rejected it.

Explanation:

Scientists accepted the model at first because it explained the hydrogen emission spectrum.

However, with the development of quantum mechanics, scientists had to modify the model (not reject it).

Electrons still had specific energies, but they no longer travelled in fixed orbits.

Instead, electrons had a probability of being found in a given region of space.

Classify each of the following as an exothermic or endothermic reaction:
serious [3.7K]

Answer;

1) 2H2(g)+O2(g)⟶Δ2H2O(g)+483.6kJ - Exothermic

2) 6CO2(g)+6H2O(l)+15000kJ⟶C6H12O6(aq)+6O2(g) - Exothermic

3) 2Al(s)+Fe2O3(s)⟶Al2O3(s)+2Fe(s)+850kJ - Exothermic

Explanation;

 • Exothermic Reaction is a chemical reaction in which heat is given out is known as exothermic reaction, while, and endothermic Reaction is a chemical reaction in which heat energy is absorbed is known as endothermic reaction.
 • The reaction between carbon dioxide and water is an example of an exothermic reaction. When most gases dissolve in solution, the process is exothermic meaning that heat is released as the gas dissolves
 • The reduction of ferric oxide by aluminium is highly exothermic and therefore the iron formed will be in the molten state.
