Answer:

Ending inventory under:

FIFO = $3655

LIFO = $3385

Explanation:

Ending Inventory under FIFO

These 320 units purchased at the end will make up the ending inventory,

135 units at $12 =                              $1620

(320-135 = 185) 185 units at $11 =    $2035

Total cost of ending inventory = $3655

Ending Inventory under LIFO

The 320 units under LIFO will be the ones purchased at the start.

135 units at $10                             =   $1350

(320-135 = 185) 185 units at $11     =   $2035

Total cost of ending inventory $3385

A university cafeteria line in the student union hall is a self-serve facility in which students select
Setler [38]

Answer:

The answer to this question is a= µ=60/12=5 students/min

Explanation:

Solution

Given that:

λ=4 students / min

The Waiting time in Queue= λ /µ(µ- λ )==4/(5*(5-4))=0.8 min

The Number of students in the line L(q)= λ *W(q)= 4*.8= 3.2 students

TheNumber of students in the system L(q)= λ /(µ- λ )=4/(5-40=4 students

Then,

The Probability of system to be empty= P0= 1-P= 1-0.8= 0.2

Now,

If the management decides to add one more cashier with the same efficiency then we have

µ= 6 sec/student= 10 students/min.

so,

P= λ /µ =4/10=0.4

Now,

The probability that cafeteria is empty= P0= 1-0.4= 0.6

If we look at the above system traits, it is clear that the line is not empty and the students have to standby for 0.8 in the queue waiting to place their order and have it, also on an average there are 3.2 students in the queue and in the entry cafeteria there are 4 students who are waiting to be served.

If the management decides to hire one more cashier with the same work rate or ability, then the probability of the cafeteria being free moves higher from 0.2 to 0.6 so it suggests that the management must hire one additional cashier.

When price decreases, quantity increases. Price elasticity of demand measures how much ________.a. The price decreasesb. The pri
erastova [34]

Answer:

Price elasticity of demand measures how much the quantity increases when price decreases.

Explanation:

Price elasticity is the percentage change in the quantity demanded, divided by the percentage change in the price.

If the percentage in the change in the quantity demanded is bigger than the percentage in the change of the price we talk about elastic demand.

If the percentage in the change in the quantity demanded is smaller than the percentage in the change of the price we talk about inelastic demand.

And if he percentage in the change in the quantity demanded is excatly the same than the percentage in the change of the price we talk about unit elastic demand.

The price elasticity of demand for a particular cancer drug is zero and the price elasticity of supply is 0.50. If a $1 excise t
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

$1 or 100% of the tax

Explanation:

When the price elasticity of demand is 0, it means that the good or service will be purchased regardless of its cost. Very few things have such a low price elasticity, and the fact that this is drug for treating cancer is the reason why that happens. Anyone that can purchase a drug that will keep you alive, will do so as long as you have enough money to do so. Another good with a very low price elasticity, but not 0, is gasoline with a 0.02 to 0.04, and gasoline is a basic necessity also.

The curve for a perfectly inelastic good is vertical. So any increase in taxes will be paid by the customers.

Date            Account Title            Debit                        Credit

July 1        Cash                         $9,457,500

Discount on bond payable          $292,500

Bond payable                                                               $9,750,000

Calculation:

Cash  =$9,750,000 x 97% = $9,457, 500

Discount = $9, 750,000 - $9,457,500= $292,500

Loss on Redemption of bonds $218,400

Cash                                                                                            $5,569,200

Discount on Bonds payable                                                           $109,200

Calculation:

Cash =$5,460,000  x 102%  = $5,569,200

Loss on Redemption of bonds = Cash + Discount on bonds payable - Bonds payable =  $5,569,200 + $109,200) - $5,460,000=  $218,400
