See the attached picture with letters to better understand the problem

we know that
the figure is a regular hexagon

A regular hexagon has:

<span>Interior Angles of <span>120°
</span></span>so
in the triangle ABC
BC=2 units
∠ABC=30°
∠BAC=60°

tan 30°=AC/BC
solve for AC
AC=BC*tan 30°-------> AC=2*(√3)/3
<span>Apothem is equal to AC
</span>Apothem=(2/3)√3

the answer is
(2/3)√3

How do I show equivalence of the fractions? Do I divide, cross multiple, etc.
Likurg_2 [28]

to find the equivalence, you would usually multiply the numerator and the denominator by the same number

Examples: 1/2 1×2, 2×2 It becomes 2/4 which is equivalent to 1/2

Given the graph of a function f. Identify the function by name. Then Graph, state domain &amp; range in set notation:A) f(x) +2B
WARRIOR [948]

The function in the graph has the name of square function.

The domain of a function is all values of x the function can have. The domain of this function is all real numbers:

\mleft\lbrace x\in\R\mright\rbrace

The range of a function is all values of y the function can have. The range of this function is all positive numbers, including zero:

\mleft\lbrace y\in\R\mright|y\ge0\}

In order to graph f(x) + 2, we just need to translate the graph 2 units up. To find the new points, we need to increase all y-coordinates by 2:

(-2, 6), (-1, 3), (0, 2), (1, 3), (2, 6)

Domain: {x ∈ ℝ}

Range: {y ∈ ℝ | y ≥ 2}

Then, in order to graph f(x) - 2, we just need to translate the graph 2 units down. To find the new points, we need to decrease all y-coordinates by 2:

(-2, 2), (-1, -1), (0, -2), (1, -1), (2, 2)

Domain: {x ∈ ℝ}

Range: {y ∈ ℝ | y ≥ -2}

Fir a walk-a-thon a sponsor to give a flat tree of 5$ plus 2$ for every mile m you walk
nikklg [1K]
Not really sure what you’re wanting here. If you need the formula it is 2 times the number of miles + 5 (2n+5)

The equation of a line is y = mx + 2. What is the value of m (the slope) if the line passes through point A(−5, −18)?
Kitty [74]
We can input the point
remember that (x,y)
so we are given (-5,-18)
so when x=-5, y=-18
so

-18=-5m+2
minus 2 both sides
-20=-5m
divide both sides by -5
4=m
m=4
answer is 2nd option
