The reason school should install moral into students is because some students are orphans, they don't have parents. And, if they do have parents then they aren't good influences.
An increase of population may increase the unemployment rate as less jobs will become available. The jolt may also cause tension in the housing market as a byproduct of the total percentage of existing residential spaces reaching higher occupancy which may not be remedied by making more room because of my third point. Although tons of food is wasted annually, it's unlikely that the population growth would adjust human's cultivation habits accordingly; in fact, it may cause an even larger harvest of unused crop if the response is not rationing.
