Answer:

Delaney has 36  books and 24 movies currently

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Delaney has 4 times as many books as she has movies.

she buys 15 more movies

Ratio of   movies to books =  2:3

To Find:

The number of  books and movies she is having currently = ?

Solution:

Let the number of movies be x

Then the number of books is 4x

After she buys 15 books, the number of books will be

x+15

Now the ratio of movies to books is 2 : 3

\frac{2}{3} = \frac{x+15}{4x}

On solving

3 \times(x+15) = 2 \times 4x

3x+45 =8x

45 =8x-3x

45 =5x

x =\frac{45}{5}

x = 9

The number of book is

=> 4 \times x

=> 4 \times 9

=> 36

The number of movies is

=>x + 15

=>9+15

=> 24

Find DY divided by DX by implicit differentiation y=sinxy
amm1812

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y = sin(xy)\\\frac{d}{dx}y=cos(xy)(\frac{d}{dx}(xy))\\  \frac{d}{dx}y = cos(xy)(y + x*\frac{d}{dx}y)\\ write \: \frac{d}{dx}y \: as\:y'\\y' = cos(xy)(y+xy')\\y' = ycos(xy) + xy'cos(xy) \\y'-xy'cos(xy) = ycos(xy)\\y'(1-xcos(xy)) = ycos(xy)\\\\y' = \frac{ycos(xy)}{1-xcos(xy)}

Tapiwa takes 5% more leaves than adam raked. together they raked 697 liters of leaves
Nina [5.8K]
----------------------------------
Define their percentage:
----------------------------------
Adam = 100%
Tapiwa = 100 + 5 = 105%

----------------------------------
Find their total percentage:
----------------------------------
100 + 105 = 205

----------------------------------
Find 1%
----------------------------------
205% = 697 liters
1% = 3.4 liters

----------------------------------
Find 100% (Adam):
----------------------------------
100% = 3.4 x 100
100% = 340 liters

----------------------------------
Find 105% (Tapiwa):
----------------------------------
105% = 3.4 x 105
105% = 357 liters

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: Tapiwa =  357 liters and Adam = 340 liters.
