Find the value of x if m || 1. mZ1 = 2x + 44 and m25=5x+ 38. The diagram is not to scale
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

A. 2

Step-by-step explanation:

m<1 = 2x + 44

m<5 = 5x + 38

Since line m is parallel to line l, therefore:

m<1 = m<5 (corresponding angles)

2x + 44 = 5x + 38 (substitution)

Collect like terms

2x - 5x = -44 + 38

-3x = -6

Divide both sides by -3

-3x/-3 = -6/-3

x = 2

Okay so first off I do not know if any of these are completely correct, as well as I totally forgot how to solve the last two. Either way, this is what I got for them.
The first is true
The second would be true although -88 squared is 7744 and the equation equals -7744 which can not be obtained by a square number of negative times a negative is a positive number. The third is not true for you do have -a^2 and -b^2 but you also end up with aB as well as -bA. The fourth in decimal form would be.167 The fifth again in decimal form would be 1.732 Then the next would be 0. Finally, the next one would be .090 Again, I do not know how to solve the last two and I honestly do not know if anyone of these is correct.
