Place values are determined by the position of a digit in the number multiplied by 10 for each digit it has to its right.

Since there are two "5" digits in the number, let us break them down to their respective place values.

1.) 5: one's place: 5
2.) 5: hundred's place: 5 x 10 x 10 = 500

Adding the place values:
500 + 5 = 505

Therefore the sum is 505.

Given the equation (x-a)^2(x-2)=x^3+bx^2+12x-72 find a and b
ivann1987 [24]
Isolate the variable by dividing each side by factors that don't contain the variable.

a=- \frac{ x^{2}- \sqrt{( x^{3} + x^{2} b+12x-72(x-2)-2x} }{x-2} ,- \frac{ x^{2}+ \sqrt{( x^{3} + x^{2} b+12x-72(x-2)-2x} }{x-2}

Solve for b by simplifying both sides of the equation then isolating the variable.

b= \frac{12}{x}+ \frac{72}{ x^{2} }-2+2a- \frac{4a}{x}+ \frac{ a^{2} }{x}- \frac{2a^{z} }{ x^{2} }

Hopefully i helped ^.^ Mark brainly if possible. Lol once again i saw the same question so why not answer it again!

The distance on a map between a student’s house and her job is 6 cm. On the same map, the distance between her house and her sch
Serhud [2]

Answer:

9km

Step-by-step explanation:

If the distance on the map of 8cm between her house and school is equal to 12km actual distance. This means that each cm on the map represent 1.5km in actual distance (12/8=1.5).

This means that D is equal to 9km actual distance, because if each cm represents 1.5km, then 6 cm represents 9km (6x1.5=9).

Hope this helped!
