The precession of solstices and equinoxes is the third factor that plays a role in Earth climate change that deals directly with the earth itself. In the Northern Hemisphere, when the Earth is at its furthest point from the sun (aphelion) the variation in temperature between winter and summer are less extreme. Hope I’ve helped ;)
