Answer:

it cannot be considered unusual if there was 1 telephone user in this sample without a landline

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a recent  survey found that 30% of telephone users have switched completely to cell phone use (i.e. they do not have landlines in their homes)

Each telephone user is independent of the other and hence prob for switching to cell phone has constant probability 0.30

X the no of customers who switch to cell phones from the sample of 10 is

Binomial with n =10 and p = 0.30

Prob (x=1) = Prob there was 1 telephone user in this sample without a landline

=10C1 (0.3)^1 (0.7)^9\\= 0.1211

This is not very near to 0.

Hence this is not a rare event.

So it cannot be considered unusual if there was 1 telephone user in this sample without a landline

Answer:

Two sample t test

Explanation:

The test that could be used here is the two sample t test. The two sample t test compares two groups to ascertain if there is an average significant different between the two groups being compared, also making sure the result of difference is not random. For instance to test the above example, the two sample t test compares the group before they watch the commercial with the group after the commercial to know if there is a significant difference between the two groups.

If the Kool-Aid man averages 15,000 new followers per day, about how many weeks will it take him to reach 1 million followers? S
Sonja [21]

Answer:

approximately 9 weeks

Step-by-step explanation:

I can't really show the work on here, 1,000,000÷15,000= 66. (a whole lot of numbers, but only 66 is important). There is 7 days in a week, so 66 days ÷7 equals 9.(again a whole lot of useless numbers).
