\text{We know}\ \sqrt{a}=b\ if\ b^2=a\\\\4 < \sqrt{19} < 5\ \text{because}\\\\4^2 < (\sqrt{19})^2 < 5^2\\\\16 < 19 < 25\to\sqrt{16} < \sqrt{19} < \sqrt{25}

A model of a submarine has a length of 6.6 meters. Use the scale 1:35 to find the length
kirill115 [55]
The scale 1:35 indicates that for every 1 meter on the scale model, there are really 35 meters in real life.

So if the scale model is 6.6 meters, you would do 35 * 6.6 to find the length in real life, which is 231 meters.

The answer is 231 meters.

PolarNik [594]

We need to find the area. So we multiply the dimensions.

3x1/2=1.5

1.5x4 1/2=6.75

Decimal was my go-to so we need to convert back to a fraction.

6.75= 6 3/4

So the answer is B.

Draw 2 different shapes with the perimeter of 16 units
Sergeeva-Olga [200]
First, we must understand that to find the perimeter of an object you must add up the lengths of each side.

Some options are:

A square (4 sides) with sides of 4 units long.
4x4=16

A rectangle (4 sides) that is 6 units long and 2 units wide
6+2+6+2=16

An octagon (8 sides) with sides 2 units long
8x2=16
