Answer:

The two ways to represent proportion using table is

1.→ If difference between two y value, and two x values, represented as points in two dimensional plane yields a constant ratio, then it will be a Proportion.

For example

 x       1     3    5      7      9

 y       2    4     6     8      10

\frac{4-2}{3-1}=\frac{6-4}{5-3}=\frac{8-6}{7-5}=\frac{10-8}{9-7}=1

2.→If points are represented on a line, the ratio of two consecutive points produces a constant ratio, then we say that it is in Proportion.

2, 4, 8,16,32.

\rightarrow \frac{4}{2}=\frac{8}{4}=\frac{16}{8}=\frac{32}{16}=2

You can use a table like this x  -1 0  1  2
                                              y   0  2  4  6
and a T table

Which of the following are valid (necessarily true) sentences? a. (∃x x = x) ⇒ (∀ y ∃z y = z). b. ∀ x P(x) ∨ ¬P(x). c. ∀ x Smart
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

b; ∀x   P(x) ∨ ¬P(x)

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose that we have a proposition p

Such that p can be true or false.

We can define the negation of p as:

¬p

Such that, if p is false, then ¬p is true

if p is true, then ¬p is false.

Also remember that a proposition like:

p ∨ q

is true when, at least one, p or q, is true.

Then if we write:

p ∨ ¬p

Always one of these will be true (and the other false)

Then the statement is true.

And if the statement depends on some variable, then we will have that:

p(x) ∨ ¬p(x)

is true for all the allowed values of x.

from this, we can conclude that the statement that is always true is:

b; ∀x   P(x) ∨ ¬P(x)

Where here we have:

For all the values of x,   P(x)  ∨ ¬P(x)

inessss [21]

Answer:

The first one is missing (d - 9) so it would be 5(d -9) or when you factor it out 5d - 45

In the second one (d + 7) is missing so it will be 8d(d + 7) so if you factor that out you will receive 8d^2 + 56

Step-by-step explanation:

3d^2 + 18d -21 =(3d -3)( d + 7)

3d^2 -30d +27 =(3d -3)(d - 9)

How tall is the flag pole (please give explanation too)
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

  22 3/4 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The diagram seems to show a 6 1/2 ft person casting a 9 ft shadow at the same time a flagpole is casting a 31 1/2 ft shadow. You want the height of the flagpole.

<h3>Proportion</h3>

Shadow lengths are presumed proportional to the height of the object making them. This means ...

  h/(31 1/2) = (6 1/2)/9 . . . . . all lengths in feet

Multiplying by 31 1/2, we get ...

  h = (31 1/2)(6 1/2)/9 = (819/4)/9 = 91/4

  h = 22 3/4 . . . . ft

The flagpole is 22 3/4 feet tall.
