The height of an airplane during a landing is given by 22,000+(-480t) where t is the time and minutes. Estimate how many minutes it takes the plane to land to the nearest hundredth of a minute.

Height h = 22,000+(-480t)

h = 22000 - 480t

When the plane land then height h becomes 0

So we plug in h=0 and solve for t.

0 = 22000 - 480t ( subtract 22000 on both sides)

-22000 = -480t (divide both sides by -480)

t = 45.833

Airplane takes 45.83 minutes to land

Answer:

60

Step-by-step explanation:

so you have a rectangle that has the lengths of 5 and x+2 and x is equal to 10, you add 10 and 2 and get 12 then you do 5 times 12 and get 60.

5(x+2)  x=10

10+2=12

5x12=60

Which fraction shows the simplest form for 4/12 A.1/4 B.12 C.1/2 D.1/3
zalisa [80]
4/12 can both go into 4. 4 divided by 4 is obviously 1, so the numerator is 1.12 divided by 4 is 3 so the denominator  is 3.
The answer is 1/3 or D

Find f(x) if it is known that f(x−2)=2x−4
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

f(x) = 2x

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark

What I'm about to do is probably not the best way to do this question, but it is right. The plan is to take out a common factor on the right of f(x - 2) and then derive f(x) from that.

Solution

  • f(x - 2) = 2x - 4              Take out a common factor on the right of f(x -2)
  • f(x - 2) = 2(x - 2)             Now what that means is that in the original equation, wherever you saw an x, you put in x - 2. So the original equation must have been

Check

  • f(x) = 2x                         To check this put x - 2 back in
  • f(x - 2) = 2(x -2)              Remove the brackets.
  • f(x - 2) = 2x - 4  which is what it should be.
