Answer:

We know that the test has 20 questions in total, and she needs 90% correctly. So, we need to find the 90% of 20:

90 \%(20)=\frac{90}{100}20=18

This means that Alyssa needs to answer at least 18 question correctly to get an A.

A.

Base on this result, we can say that Alyssa got an A.

B.

Alyssa needs to answer 18 question to get an A.

C.

Jessie answer three times more questions correct than incorrect.

C=3(I)

C+I=20

3(I)+I=20

4(I)=20

I=20/4=5

C=3(5)=15

According to this result, Jessie only got 15 questions correct.

Therefore, Alyssa got higher percentage of the questions correct.

A. Alyssa did not get an A on the math test but rather a B- due to only getting 16 out of the 20 problems right. This can be found out by dividing the amount correct over the total amount of problems.

B. In order for Alyssa to get an A or 90% on her math test she would have had to get two more questions right to have a score of 18 out of 20.

C. In order to figure this question out you have to think that with every incorrect answer that Jessie answered she got three correct along with the one incorrect. By going with that information it can be figured that Jessie's score is 15 correct answers and 5 incorrect information if you go by the ratio 3:1 then go up tell the sides equal up to a total of 20 after being added. So Jessie's score again was 15 out of 20.

A company dyes two sizes of rugs. A small rug requires 4 hours for dyeing, and a medium-size rug requires 6 hours for dyeing. Th
gladu [14]

Answer:

Answer:

Option (b) is correct.

4x + 6y < 120 inequalities that can be paired with x + y ≥ 20 to create a system that represents the given situation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: A small rug requires 4 hours for dyeing and a medium-size rug requires 6 hours for dyeing. The dyers have to make at least 20 rugs, and they must do it in less than 120 hours.

We have write an inequalities that can be paired with x + y ≥ 20 to create a system that represents the given situation and choose the correct option from given options.

Let x represents the small rugs and y represents the medium rugs.

Also, x + y ≥ 20 represents the dyers have to make at least 20 rugs.

And it is given that a small rug requires 4 hours for dyeing and a medium-size rug requires 6 hours for dyeing and that they must do it in less than 120 hours.

So, time taken to dye x small rugs = 4x

also, time taken to dye y medium rugs = 6y

And they have maximum of 120 hours.

So this inequality is represented by 4x + 6y < 120

The answer is: 4x + 6y < 120
