Answer:

Odysseus’s men are compared to caught fish, showing their helplessness.

Explanation:

A metaphor is a literary technique that is used to make comparisons between things. Unlike the simile, a metaphor need not use "like" or "as" to make comparisons between things.

In the given passage, the comparison is between the men, Odysseus's men, and fishes. Like caught fishes, the men were caught by Scylla, <em>"dangling high overhead [. . .] rip[ped] it from the surface to dangle wriggling through the air"</em>. Thus, the men are metaphorically compared to fishes caught by a fisherman.

Thus, the <u>correct answer is the last option. </u>

How does an Immune response start after a macrophage attacks a pathogen
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Once the pathogen is killed the B Cells create Memory B Cells and the Killer T Cells create memory T Cells.

Almost drowning. I was 7 years old and defiant. My mother warned that the waves could pull me out but I didn't want to listen so I swam out far and by the time I realized I couldn't reach the bottom with my feet a large wave went right over my head. In shock at it I breathed in a large gasp of ocean water and frantically moved to the surface where my father was dragging me back to shore. All the while I coughed up the water and cried. Swimming out too far was an awful choice that I didn't understand the consequences of since I was very young.
