Answer:

The correct answer is:

case-study research (a.)

Explanation:

A case study research is applied in life and social sciences to obtain an in-depth and detailed examination of a single individual or case. A case is any unit of analysis, including individuals, events, organization or an action.

Case studies can be single or multiple case studies. In medicine, as in this our example, a case study can be a finding or examination reported on a particular individual. It also finds application in sociology, psychology, anthropology, politics etc.

When selecting a case study, typical and average cases are most often not ideal, but cases with unusual results or patterns are selected, hence, unlike random sampling used in subject selection in the survey research, information-oriented sampling method is used in selecting cases in case studies. The case studies effectively seeks to compare the effects of the subject (practical cases) with the object (theoretical cases). Hence, three types of cases are selected in case studies, they include; key cases, outlier cases and local knowledge cases.

Key cases are those cases that are chosen based on the peculiarity of the circumstances surrounding such cases.

Outlier cases are extreme or atypical cases that defile normalcy hence arouse interest.

Local knowledge cases are those cases for which the researcher has local theoretical knowledge of, hence set out to go for in-depth probe.

This question refers to the text "Capitalism Will Eat Democracy — Unless We Speak Up." In it, Yanis Varoufakis talks about the importance of democracy and the dangers that uncontrolled capitalism poses to it.

In the text, Varoufakis argues that, unless we take control of capitalism, the future could be a dystopia in which economic concerns are the only important ones and democracy has disappeared. Instead, the utopia that he suggests is one in which we demand democracy, and a democracy that includes all individuals. He suggests we achieve this by speaking up and demanding that democracy is protected. If we fail, we risk losing democracy altogether and being controlled completely by the fluctuations of the market.

How does the plural executive, as specified in article 4 of the texas constitution, influence texas government?
MaRussiya [10]

The plural executive, as specified in article 4 of the Texas constitution, influence Texas government by safeguarding against concentration of power. This ensures that each member of executive has an independent power base.

It weakens the governor's power and fragments the government. Texas uses a plural executive in which the governor's authority is limited and the functions have been decentralized i.e., divided among many, mostly elected, government officials. In other words, no Texas government official is solely responsible for the Texas plural executive branch. The Texas Constitution had introduced a plural executive branch because there was suspicion of a strong chief executive.
